A Life Remembered
Obituary
Sapphire Analise Smith was born September 18, 2006 in Millersburg, Ohio and moved to her new home in Columbus on Christmas Eve. She passed on January 30, 2019. Sapphire went to agility training and began her love of zipping thru the tunnels, zooming through the weave poles, jumping and climbing – which enabled her to sit on laps and sleep on our bed. Sapphire loved her big brother and followed him everywhere – just like that annoying little sister. He liked playing with her and walking her on her two hind legs. She had an extended family that included her great-grandmother and her special friends of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She also had play dates with her doggy friends Ava, Foxy and Beau. As she grew older, she became a girly girl and loved to have her hair and nails done (in her signature sapphire blue color to match her mommy) and dress up from her extensive wardrobe. She was known to sit pretty for the camera and take many pictures. She liked the sound of the jangling medallions on her leash that meant going for a walk or riding in the car that usually led to ice-cream from Dairy Queen. Sapphire also loved the outdoors! She liked to walk the perimeter of her space and sit in the sunny spots of the yard. When it was too hot or too cold, you could often find her watching TV on the couch and eating popcorn, with her mommy. Sapphire could be naughty, but she was quickly forgiven when she flashed those pretty eyes. Sapphire was a happy dog and shared her kisses with everyone. She lived 12 ½ years and left many memories in all of our hearts. She will be missed, but not forgotten
